Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Machine Learning Engineer – Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:
- Develop and maintain critical risk and fraud-detection applications and services, including idea generation, architecture, design, development, and testing.
- Design, implement, and manage machine learning-based security solutions to prevent customer attacks, ensuring continuous performance monitoring and issue mitigation.
- Continuously iterate on machine learning models to enhance precision and recall, optimizing them to meet performance criteria in terms of accuracy and latency.
- Lead the end-to-end development process to deliver high-quality solutions that meet specifications, align with the architectural vision, and adhere to all applicable standards, covering all phases of solution development.
- Collaborate with project team members to develop and implement new data-driven AI/ML-based business solutions, working with senior technical staff and Project Managers to identify, document, plan, track, and manage risks and issues.
- Establish data governance and data management frameworks to efficiently organize and operationalize machine learning pipelines.
- Construct ETL pipelines using technologies like Spark, Python, HIVE, or Scala to process transaction and account-level data and standardize data fields from diverse sources.
- Experiment with and develop custom algorithms using state-of-the-art techniques for modeling and scoring, leveraging machine learning, data mining, and statistical methodologies.
- Communicate status, issues, and risks in a detailed and timely manner to relevant stakeholders.
- Present technical solutions in business terms to non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members to enhance their technical skills and professional development.
- Drive the development effort end-to-end, collaborating closely with senior technical staff and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
