We are seeking an experienced and analytical Benefits Operations Manager/Consultant to join our global and centralized HR Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration and management of employee benefits programs, ensuring they are implemented efficiently and effectively. This role involves strategic planning, compliance with regulations, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance employee satisfaction and support the organization's objectives. The Benefits Operations Manager/Consultant will lead a team dedicated to delivering high quality benefits services and will play a crucial role in designing benefits strategies that align with the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day operations of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, wellness initiatives, and other related programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA, and keep abreast of legislative changes that may impact benefits administration.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and legal teams to design and implement benefits strategies that meet organizational needs and budget constraints.
  • Analyze current benefits programs and provide recommendations for improvements or changes to enhance employee satisfaction and company competitiveness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Benefits Associates and Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits related inquiries and issues, resolving them efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and brokers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the delivery of services meets the organization's standards.
  • Develop and deliver communication plans to educate employees about their benefits options and any changes to programs.
  • Prepare and manage the benefits budget, ensuring cost effective delivery of services without compromising quality.
  • Conduct regular audits of benefits processes and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify trends and process inefficiencies, recommend and implement process improvements including opportunities for automation.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, workflows, and process documentation.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc reports on benefit metrics, enrollment activity, and plan performance.
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, integrations and new plan launches as needed.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
