What a Manager – Insights & Analytics Advisor does at Visa:

This Manager role will be based in Tokyo, Japan and will report to the Marketing Services Lead for Japan with dotted line reporting to the Head of Insights for AP (in Singapore).  The successful applicant will operate primarily within the Voice of the Consumer Insights practice area with a focus on expanding the insights based advisory practice as a VAS for Visa’s clients in Japan while also providing insights advisory for internal Visa stakeholders.

The role is responsible for leading and delivering the research and insights projects and associated revenue, in partnership with our Visa Client Marketing and Visa Consulting & Advisory (VCA) teams. The Manager, Insights & Analytics will also package and sell our insights and marketing measurement analytics capabilities to clients.  The role will also support insights-based, customer-centric conversations internally to support strategic business decisions.

  • Provides subject matter expertise for our Client Marketing and Visa Consulting project opportunities and proposals, beginning with translating business questions into research objectives and assessing if existing assets can be leveraged
  • Devises the best research methodologies for projects
  • Manages & maintains preferred research vendor list & identifies for each project the best vendor at best price
  • Oversees quality of proposals & outputs of research and insights projects to ensure client satisfaction and repeat client engagements
  • Project manages the research and insights work on behalf of the client marketing and VCA teams
  • Prospects, scopes, executes, & deliver insights for our clients and merchant partners, delivering incremental marketing services revenue
  • Develops Voice of the Consumer (VoC) content and other thought leadership insights for engagements with clients and merchants
  • Partners with Client Marketing for the revenue pipeline management, operating expenses and revenue associated with client marketing campaigns/projects.
  • Works in close alignment with our regional Insights & Analytics team to ensure best practices & all available resources are leveraged

The Manager will educate & support clients on the research journey, including translate & showcase actionable research learnings, lead Insights consulting engagements to drive meaningful & measurable improvement to clients’ performance.  The role will deliver incremental VAS revenue & margin to Visa and support the improvement of the Client Net Promotor Score (NPS).
Projects you will be a part of:

  • Develop and sell VoC Insights and thought leadership as a VAS for clients in partnership with Client Marketing and Consulting & Analytics teams, including developing sales materials, sharing sessions, training, developing new capabilities, etc.
  • Advise Visa internal stakeholders (Sales, Product, Merchant/Acquiring, Digital Partnerships, Corp Strategy) by generating and reporting insights that support strategic direction and decision making for Visa in Japan
  • Build working relationships with key stakeholders in Japan, with the AP Regional Hub & the Global Insights & Analytics team.
  • Management of research budget and forecasting Insights VAS revenue based on pipeline of client engagements
