About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and visionary Manager of IT Asset Management to join our team. In this role, you’ll shape and execute strategies to optimize the lifecycle management of all IT assets at Netflix. You’ll define the business vision for IT Asset Management (ITAM), drive alignment across global teams, and partner with technology leaders to deliver world-class solutions.

As the leader of our ITAM function, you’ll build and inspire a high-performing team, establish best practices, and ensure our IT assets are managed efficiently and responsibly—from procurement through disposal.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the ITAM Product: Take end-to-end ownership of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) product, shaping its vision, strategy, and execution to meet evolving business needs.

  • Collaborate on the ITAM Roadmap: Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver on the ITAM product roadmap—ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technology initiatives.

  • Design & Implement ITAM Strategy: Build and execute a comprehensive IT asset management program, including policies and processes to manage assets across their lifecycle.

  • Lead & Develop a Team: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of IT Asset Management professionals; foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration.

  • Maintain Asset Inventory: Ensure accurate tracking of all IT assets (hardware, software, licenses, peripherals) and implement robust processes for monitoring status, location, and utilization.

  • Drive Compliance: Set and enforce standards to ensure all assets are properly licensed, configured, and used in line with company policies and industry regulations.

  • Leverage Technology & Analytics: Deploy and optimize tools for asset tracking and reporting; use data analytics to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk reduction.

  • Promote Best Practices: Develop training and materials to educate employees on ITAM policies and foster a culture of compliance.

  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify gaps, address deficiencies, and drive ongoing improvement.

  • Be a Key Partner: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory agencies on all IT asset matters.

  • Stay Ahead: Keep up with industry trends, emerging tech, and best practices to drive innovation within our ITAM program.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 7+ years of IT asset management experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role within a large or complex organization

  • Deep expertise in ITAM principles and methodologies: asset lifecycle management, inventory control, software licensing, and compliance

  • Proven ability to develop and implement ITAM policies and drive adoption across diverse teams

  • Proficiency with IT asset management tools and systems (e.g., ITAM software, CMDB, license management solutions)

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills; able to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CITAM, CSAM, CISA) are a plus
