Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Data Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to:

Design, develop, and implement next generation data platforms.
Contribute to the design of backend databases and queries.
Work independently with minimal insight to develop software that conforms to Visa’s high standards of security, quality, performance, resiliency, and compliance.
Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
Develop solutions to generate code for data pipelines using Python/Jinja code generation framework.
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / nonfunctional business requirements.
Build analytics tools that utilize the data automation pipeline to provide actionable insights.
Analyze input Data elements across multiple sources and build Data lineage for the Asset Management System.
Work on emerging technologies, building highly scalable, secure, reliable and fault tolerant distributed systems.
Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate.
Provide third-level support to business users.
Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.
Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
Find opportunities to create, design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery. Provide third-level support to business
users.
Keep up with current and developing engineering trends.
Work with architects, systems analysts, project managers and other developers to efficiently implement business requirements while applying the latest available tools and technology.
Position reports to the Foster City, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
