Essential Functions
Engineering Leadership and Team Management
- Leading the software engineering team to develop, test, and document software programs.
- Coaching and mentoring developers, setting coding standards, and leading design and code reviews.
- Breaking down architected solutions into smaller achievable tasks and ensuring timely execution.
- Participating in daily stand ups and improving productivity using development and quality metrics.
- Working closely with US based teams, coordinating efforts and maintaining strong communication.
- Partnering with senior engineers, ML engineers, and product leads to define and deliver the platform roadmap.
- Enforcing software best practices, standards, and processes across the SDLC.
Architecture, Design and Solution Development - Architecting and evolving an Agentic AI Platform supporting multi agent orchestration and integrations with enterprise microservices.
- Designing robust secure scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Analyzing business requirements and delivering scalable resilient engineering solutions.
- Designing distributed fault tolerant microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and MySQL.
- Developing RESTful and gRPC APIs connecting backend services, agentic AI workflows, and front end applications React, GraphQL.
- Working with product owners and managers to gather and refine requirements.
- Producing highly scalable high performing applications.
- AI, GenAI and Agentic System Integration
- Integrating enterprise grade LLMs GPT, Claude, Gemini into backend services.
- Developing orchestration and agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, Autogen.
- Implementing Model Context Protocol MCP frameworks for tool and API interoperability.
- Driving innovation in AI frameworks, architectures, and deployment models.
Development and Coding Responsibilities:
- Developing microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and MySQL.
- Writing scalable maintainable code using strong OOP design, design patterns, multi threading, and concurrency.
- Developing efficient database queries or query generating code and resolving bugs in existing systems.
- Participating in testing through reviews, analysis, test witnessing, and software certification.
- Deploying and staging code in development environments.
Scalability, Reliability and DevOps:
- Designing horizontally scalable fault tolerant distributed systems.
- Implementing auto scaling, observability, and monitoring with Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus and Grafana.
- Supporting CICD pipelines Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions.
- Driving best practices for performance, latency reduction, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Working with security scanners Checkmarx and Qualys and remediating identified issues.
Innovation, Strategy and Continuous Improvement:
- Exploring new architectures, frameworks, and deployment models to advance Agentic AI capabilities.
- Driving automation, continuous improvement, and open source adoption across engineering.
- Innovating beyond defined scope with strong ownership and technical leadership.
