Group Engineering Manager - Azure Service Fabric Team

Microsoft hybrid • Multiple Locationsfull_time

Are you excited about cutting-edge hardware, low-level platform design, and distributed systems challenges at the core of hyperscale datacenters? Do you want to build end-to-end platform capabilities that empower next-generation workloads on the Microsoft cloud?

Azure Service Fabric is the core distributed systems platform at the foundation of critical Azure Infrastructure (like the Azure Control Plane) and customer facing services (like Azure SQL DB, Azure SQL MI, CosmosDB, Azure Container Instances, to name a few). It enables an environment to deploy microservices that run at scale and high availability, enabling low latency failovers, leader elections and highly available distributed Key-Value store for critical compute scenarios. The team is geo-distributed and is a critical foundation to enable new scenarios for Azure.

As a Group Engineering Manager in Azure Service Fabric, you will be leading a team delivering new capabilities in the areas of Security, Programming Models, Distributed KeyValue Store, Placement and Load Balancing and core System Services (which are at the heart of a Service Fabric Cluster). You will have the opportunity to work closely with multiple partners to build solutions that light up new experiences for their customers, build/grow expertise in highly available and secure distributed systems. This role offers flexible work opportunity where one can work from home partially.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
