Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, the VCA team solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The Strategy and Operations (S&O) team supports the North America VCA team through setting standards, developing foundational processes, and driving operational performance for the consulting organization. The Director, AI & Data Policy will be a part of the S&O team and report directly to the Sr. Director, Strategy and Operations.

VCA supports these partners by using our extraordinarily rich data set that spans more than 3 billion cards globally and captures more than 100 billion transactions in a single year and is bound by Visa’s contractual relationships with the world’s foremost issuers, merchants, and technology companies. This creates a complex compliance landscape for our Consultants and Data Scientists to navigate. Working closely with VCA Legal staff and Visa’s Global Privacy Office the Director, AI & Data Policy will need to quickly build a command of the various privacy and confidentiality policies governing how VCA shares data-driven insights with partners. In this role they will collaborate with VCA members provide value to clients in a manner that complies with Visa’s data use policies.

  • Lead VCA’s thought leadership on the approach for data policy and AI governance
  • Drive collaborations with key stakeholders to shape and clarify data policy situations; creatively solve problems to provide value to clients in a compliant manner
  • Quickly build a command of the various privacy and confidentiality policies which govern how VCA shares data-driven insights with partners
  • Work across VCA teams to address nuanced policy inquiries in a timely and professional manner, identify potential risks, suggest mitigation strategies
  • Develop processes for managing and tracking inquiries and connecting data use tickets to project tracking tools
  • Oversee data ingestion processes from internal sources (e.g., Visa dashboards, enterprise data) and external feeds, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Design frameworks and recommendations that address clients’ most critical challenges and growth objectives. 
  • Contribute to thought leadership and best practices that elevate Visa’s VCA capabilities. 
  • Establish and maintain documentation, coding standards, and best practices for agent development.
  • Advocate for VCA in data policy conversations, including influencing policy updates

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site).
