As a Software Engineer, you’ll help develop and maintain the platform services and tooling that enable our product teams to deliver real‑time features. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll design and implement robust solutions, collaborate closely with peers, and follow best practices to ensure our systems remain reliable, scalable, and observable.

Our stack runs on AWS as a set of distributed applications using Kubernetes and a microservice-led architecture. We are also utilizing Kafka for our streaming and PACT for Contract testing. 

What you'll get to do 

Develop and maintain backend services and tooling using Java (11+) and Spring Boot, integrating with Kafka and related technologies.
Build frameworks and reusable components that simplify consumption of real‑time data capabilities for other teams.
Implement reliability, scalability, and observability features (metrics, logs, tracing) for platform components.
Work with cross-functional partners to understand requirements and deliver incrementally in Agile squads.
Contribute to code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Support event-driven architectures by applying patterns and communicating practical benefits to partner teams.
