Responsibilities: Provide High Performance Computing (HPC) expertise and leadership to new product introductions throughout the different stages of their lifecycle, from initial requirements to product release and production. In this role, you will establish the readiness of novel Google Cloud technologies, such as new virtual machine families, networking technologies and storage solutions, for their use in high performance computing use cases. You will require proficiency across the vertical stack from the bare metal hardware via virtualization technologies to applications. You will be responsible for establishing performance targets as part of the product definition and for qualifying the readiness of products for high performance computation. With your deep system expertise, you will be able to identify performance issues and drive their resolution with other involved engineering teams or third-party vendors and OSS software projects.
